Stratford Voice is an association of residents who live in Stratford-upon-Avon, and beyond the town. We represent a wide spectrum of society, having 743 members, and aim to be a very inclusive organisation.

We would like to see Stratford supported in its bid to become a World Heritage Site, with proper considerations for its history, natural beauty and for its future generations.

Stratford Voice aims to safeguard the heritage, integrity and dignity of Stratford-upon-Avon town as befits Shakespeare's Birthplace. We are a historic market town, on the banks of the River Avon in leafy Warwickshire...that's the idyllic image, still treasured by our many visitors.

The world, though is a rapidly changing environment and we feel Stratford must adapt. Can that image survive the pressures of traffic congestion, population expansion, housing development and the need for modern facilities?

Welcome to Stratford Voice, we believe the answer is yes to the above. By working with and influencing local, regional and national planning authorities, we hope to ensure that proposed new developments take account of residents' wishes and concerns.

Past mistakes have meant Stratford has lost some of its charm and character, reflective in Stratford's declining visitor numbers. Unfortunately our local authorities keep making mistakes, to the detriment of our Town: we are on behalf of our residents, campaigning to stop change for change sake, and insist on change for improvement!
